Hair Happenings

Since opening in Sept. 2001, I offer the best hair services and hair care products. I am a one on one stylist-to-client and sole stylist in the salon. I am proud to use Paul Mitchell Hair Color and sell hair products such as LOMA HAIR CARE, that are cruelty free, with excellent results at a fair price. I often sell local products such as soaps, lotions, haircare and jewelry. I am also proud that I am a business that has always been a Welcome To All/Open to All salon.

 I went to cosmetology school in Whittier, CA at Mr. Dominic’s Beauty School, then finished in Albuquerque, New Mexico from Heights Beauty College in 1988. I have continued my education through many classes, shows, events and online tutorials allowing myself to be confident and inspired.

My salon is by appointment only and I have varied, flexible hours. My usual days are 10:00am-5:00/7:00pm Tues-Friday, some Mondays. My flexible hours can accommodate everyone! I offer haircuts, hair coloring, styling, scalp massage and waxing.

ABOUT ME:

I support community events by donating time or products, volunteered and facilitated classes and one-on-one sessions for the American Cancer Society-Look Good Feel Better program, hosted dog food/blanket drives/natural disaster relief , I’ve created beautiful baskets for WAIF raffles and AVON breast cancer awareness events to name a few. Along with having a warm and welcoming salon, I am an animal advocate and firmly believe all animals should be treated with respect and love. I believe in human equality for all. I have great concern for our planet and I try my best to be a great steward through recycling, beach and neighborhood trash pickup and repurposing items from clothing to furniture. In a world where you can be anything, be kind to all.

I also run Family Tails Dog Rescue which I adopt out small fluffy/scruffy dogs from So. California high kill shelters. I have a passion for helping animals. We should all be their voice and speak up for them and help when we can.
